Coggins Express
Coggins Express offers a vet a simple, reliable, conforming software program that maintains
horse, owner details and Coggins history and generates the required form for interstate transport.
Coggins Express is a very simple application for large animal veterinarians. Interstate travel
requirements for horses include a negative Coggins Test. Many horse owners are familiar with Coggins
testing, but are unfamiliar with the disease the test detects and the paperwork involved. Coggins
testing of the disease, equine infectious anemia (EIA), is monitored by the US Department of
Agriculture and administered by veterinarians.
Coggins Express was developed with local Veterinarian offices to cut down on the amount of time and
mistakes spent in the creation of Coggins forms. During this exercise, many other features were added
to the system such as having it store information on horses and owners for use in future Coggins
reports. Coggins Express also has the ability to change ownership or simply delete a horse from a
customer's record. These features not only allow you to quickly create a report, but they also
automatically age the horse and place the information from last year onto the current year's
3 record.
