Product Manager, Petroleum Distribution

SofTek Software International Inc. is a software development company providing efficient solutions. The successful Product Manager will have experience in the following areas:

• Driving product requirements based on customer and market needs.
• Assist in the development of corporate strategy by helping to define the evolution of products.
• Knowledge of software solutions for petroleum distribution, jobbers.
• Monitor market acceptance, track revenue and profit performance.
• Make product mid-life corrections as necessary.
• Developing competitive positioning and driving new business opportunities.
• Quantitative and analytical abilities for marketing, technical, and financial analysis.
• Ability to interface effectively with other operational departments including programming, technical support, training and sales.
• Provide concise and accurate status reports to all levels of the organization.
• Previous involvement in preparation and execution of a new product/market introduction plans.
• Relationship development with industry leaders to encourage partners to support company's marketing efforts.
• Research and analysis of new opportunities for product enhancement and services.
• Ability to present to internal and external audiences.
• In addition to product management experience, we are seeking someone who is well organized, has attention to detail, high sense of urgency and a strong motivator.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required, MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years publishing and/or marketing communications experience related to an industry segment.
• 4+ years working for a software company in Product Management.
• Experience with software project management covering the complete engineering lifecycle.
• Experience working in a business-to-business software product environment, developing tools and products.
• Ability to represent to the company and products to the channel community.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Strong technical and business acumen.
• Sandler Sales Institute training a plus.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business and technology issues with management and developers.
